With the Liquidshop platform tools are built in to aid the user to achieve website optimisation through the adding of 'Metadata'. These can be found by clicking on the button 'Toggle SEO Settings' when within, pages, products, brands and categories etc. You can also find various tools under 'Settings' > 'SEO', where default 'Title Tags' and Google ID's can be added to name a few.
Toggle SEO Settings:
Within this section you are given three options; Automatic, Append and Manual for the metadata Page Title, Page Description and Page Keywords.
By default the metadata is set to 'Automatic' so Liquidshop automatically generates the content, the other two options are; 'Append' in which you can add to the content that has been automatically generated, or 'Manual' which allows you to completely rewrite the metadata. Once you have made your modifications, simply click update as you would with any other change to a product, page, brand or category.
When set to, or using ‘Automatic’, some 'Metadata' will not be inserted into the corresponding fields. For example; A page description can not be used if no actual description has been wrote. This is where switching to 'Manual' and adding one would be appropriate, this is commonplace within category pages when customer-facing content is not needed.

Use a maximum of ten to twelve words in your title tag or up to 70 characters including spaces. Your company name will automatically be included within a title tag. Ensure that your title tag includes keywords and phrases, and that it reflects the text content of the web page it refers to. When set to 'Automatic', the data for the title field label is used for this; for example the product or category name.
Description and keyword tags are not essential, as they have no influence on your search engine positions in Google. However it is good practice to use these tags for lesser-known and used search engines. Ensure that your description tag reflects the text content of the page it refers to. A maximum of around 200 characters is quite sufficient. When set to 'Automatic', the data for this is pulled through from the 'Short' description on a product and the description box for category and brands alike.
Your keyword tag should simply list the keywords included in the page the tag refers to. Use commas to separate the keywords. When set to 'Automatic' for products, the data for this is pulled through from the title, category and brand titles. For category and brands, these titles are inserted.
